Chaggi Bai

A tribal Bhil woman, she has fought against gender and caste discrimination and violence against women. She went on to become the Sarpanch of her Gram Panchayat, but also faced a "No Confidence Motion" brought by the powerful upper caste lobby. Due to her long standing work and advocacy for better enactment of the Panchayati Raj Act, many important changes also came into place in Rajasthan. She later became the National President of 'Ekal Nari Sakti Sangathan’ a single women platform and network.

Bardi Bai

A Bhil tribal woman, she won the Gram Panchayat Sarpanch post in the year 2000 while working actively on the issues of women and village development while holding the post with the prestigious Women Development Program of Rajasthan. She is still and active community mobiliser and works for better implementation of social security schemes at the village level.

Bhavri Bai

Bhanwari Bai belongs to the Dalit community and did not get a chance to go to school, but learnt to read and write through her own efforts. She started her work at the grassroots with the promotion of adult education and soon became an activist for social justice after getting her legal training. Today, at the national level, she is known for her identity of Dalit woman leader.

Geeta Mohanpuria

At the young age of 17 years, she came in contact with women activists protesting against domestic violence and dowry and formed a strong women's organization in Kishangarh. She educated young girls for legal rights and associated them with social security schemes.

Indira Pancholi

A feminist committed to women's rights and an activist for more than three decades. She has been part of many research-studies at the national level along with different training programs. She has worked to increase leadership and executive abilities in girls and women. She is associated with many organisations and institutions due to her work at policy advocacy level.

Nandu Bai

Widowed in her early youth, she has struggled and contested her family and society to get a share of her husband's land and house. She raised four children while working as a farmer and daily wage laborer. She further went on to become a Sathin as part of the Rajasthan Government’s Women Development Program and since then has worked on women's rights.

She has been an officer in reproductive and sexual health program with the state government, and has retired from the post of Project Director in the Women's Development Program. Along with her job, she has been providing voluntary services to various social organizations. She has done PhD in the subject of violence on women. She takes keen interest in the work of mindset and behaviour change and implementation of programs and policies for social change.

She has been the Ward Panch of Kazipura Gram Panchayat since 1994, and has been elected continuously. She is an active woman who led the movement against alcohol ban in her area, also banned increase of personal income from tax collection in the panchayat. She has worked relentlessly on the right implementation of the National Employment Guarantee Scheme and the right to vote.

She has worked on promoting informal education in Rajasthan and has worked with education workers. She has about two decades of work experience in working with major educational programs. She is also a gender-trainer and has worked in the fields of theater in education, child and women's rights, safe technology for girls and women among others. She holds a Master Degree and is a master trainer of "Venlido".

She is a member of the Kishore Nyaya Board, Ajmer and Child Welfare Committee-Ajmer and is currently a member of the Commission on the Rights of the Child. She has done research work on the status and issues of Muslim women and is a reputed social worker associated with many social services. She holds a master's degree in law.

She is a young professional in technical science and is a trained trainer well versed in learning and teaching new things related to technology. She does new technology related experiments and has made more than 200 rural and urban poor girls computer-ready. She holds a Masters in Computer Science.
